We wanted to design an online checkout process for our customers to be able to apply for a loan quickly and safely. The challenge was that most of our customers once they have received offers, needed help from our advisors to be able to complete a loan application successfully. The advisors either will tell the customers where to click on the website or start an email communication to gather all relevant documents for the bank. Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to create an online checkout process that is empowering customers to go through the loan application process and get their money faster and by themselves?
Due to time limitation and legacy constraints we had to break the project into 2 phases:
1. Phase I – Creation of a checkout process with legacy constraints
2. Phase II – Redesign and reduce the legacy constraints to increase the UX (read more about the redesign process)
